Many industrial processes demand simultaneous delivery of electricity and heat, whose costs are a heavy burden on the budget of many types of industries. Cogeneration – producing electricity and heat at the same time – is a perfect solution to increase savings and diversify utility sources.
From industrial recipient’s point of view, it is very important that by using cogeneration, different types of facilities can be produced. Steam, with parameters adapted to the needs of the company, can be produced from hot fuels. If the industry does not need heat, cold can also be produced and used for example for cooling the offices during summer.
The decision of investing in cogeneration should be preceded by energy audit and economic analysis that enable to choose an optimal solution with maximum financial benefits.
