Many industrial processes demand simultaneous delivery of electricity and heat, whose costs are a heavy budget burden in many types of industries. Cogeneration – producing electricity and heat at the same time – is a perfect solution to increase savings and diversify facilities sources.
From industrial recipient’s point of view it is very important that by using cogeneration, different types of facilities can be produced. From hot fuels one can produce steam, whose parameters will be suited to the company’s needs. If the industry does not need heat, cold can be produced as ice water, which can be well used in conditioning the offices during summer, for example.
The decision of investing in cogeneration should be preceded by energy audit and economic analysis that enable to choose an optimal solution with maximum financial benefits.
